Helping a New Entrant Succeed

Fitness Distributors, a successful distributor of industrial cleaning and disinfecting products, hired Tactical Insight to help them gain entry into the public sector market.

Vendor Certification - Tactical Insight handled the Client’s application process, completing the paperwork and applications necessary to qualify them as a federal contractor and a state contractor.  Additionally, Tactical Insight ensured that the client qualified as a Small, Woman-Owned business by the federal Central Contractor Registry, and was certified as a Small, Woman-Owned and Minority Business by the Virginia Department of Minority and Business Services.

Target Customer and Opportunity Identification – Tactical Insight reviewed the Client’s offerings, and formed a series of recommendations regarding potential clients and markets that the client should pursue in the public sector.  The target markets include:

  • Schools and public universities
  • Federal fitness facilities

Buyer Identification – Based on the tart markets identified above, Tactical Insight put together a list of over 250 potential buyers at the target agencies.  The lists included the contact information of procurement, facilities management, and program managers at the target agencies that are responsible for procuring relevant products.

Marketing Collateral Review – Tactical Insight reviewed and edited the Client’s marketing materials, to ensure that they delivered the targeted message that I relevant, applicable, and compelling to potential government buyers.

End Result – Upon the completion of the 3-month engagement, Tactical Insight is happy to report that Fitness Distributors won a contract with a public university and a federal agency, and is pursuing further federal and state & local business opportunities.
